Ajax will play a friendly match against Borussia Dortmund on Sunday, August 6. The match against the Germans is part of the 2023/2024 season preparation. The match in Germany will start at 17:00.
In an earlier message, it was announced that Ajax's first team will start the preparations ahead of the new season on Thursday, June 29. It stated that Ajax would travel to Germany on August 6, to play against a yet-to-be-announced Bundesliga club. That will be Borussia Dortmund.

Ajax's preparation programme is taking shape. After previously announcing the training camp at the adidas World of Sports campus, some practice matches and the date of the Ajax Open Day have now also been announced.
Ajax and AS Roma have reached an agreement on the transfer of Benjamin Tahirović to Ajax. Tahirović was born on March 3, 2003 in Spånga, Sweden. He started his professional career at the Swedish Vasalunds IF before he joined AS Roma in 2021, and is part of the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team since March this year.
Ajax, Almere City FC and Hedwiges Maduro have reached an agreement concerning the assistant trainers move to Ajax. Maduro signs a contract for a spell of three seasons, from 1 July 2023 through 30 June 2026. By contracting the former Ajax player, all technical duties regarding the first team for season 2023/2024 have been fully staffed.
