Start of preparations
The Ajax team starts its preparation for the new season on Thursday 29 June. The first few days will be marked by medical and conditioning tests, after which the first training sessions will begin. The internationals are expected to follow two weeks after that.
International practice campaign
On 18 July, Ajax will play a practice match against Shakhtar Donetsk, for which talks are currently ongoing to host it in the Netherlands at an amateur club. On 22 July, Ajax will play a practice match against RSC Anderlecht in Brussels. From 24-29 July, the training camp will take place at the adidas World of Sports in Germany.
The training camp will conclude on 29 July with a practice match at Bundesliga club FC Augsburg. The squad will also travel to Germany on 6 August, to practice against a yet-to-be-announced Bundesliga club. More information on possible ticket sales for the (international) practice matches will follow soon. For this, keep an eye on the club's official channels.
Open Day / Open Training
The Ajax Open Day will take place on 8 August. Central to the Open Day is the presentation of the selection and an Open Training session in the Johan Cruijff ArenA. More information about the Open Day, as well as (free) ticket sales for the Open Training at the stadium, will follow at the end of June.
Ajax and AS Roma reach agreement on Benjamin Tahirović
Ajax and AS Roma have reached an agreement on the transfer of Benjamin Tahirović to Ajax. Tahirović was born on March 3, 2003 in Spånga, Sweden. He started his professional career at the Swedish Vasalunds IF before he joined AS Roma in 2021, and is part of the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team since March this year.
