The Eredivisie has not only shaped Ajax as a club, but has also helped develop some of the world’s greatest footballing talents.

Just two days after signing his Ajax contract, Sofyan Amrabat made his first appearance on the training pitch. New arrival Viktor Tsyhankov was also involved in the session, with both recent additions taking part in the squad’s first group training of the week leading up to the top-of-the-table clash with PSV.
Ajax made it two wins from two away matches in the VriendenLoterij Eredivisie this season. After securing a 2-0 victory at PEC Zwolle two weeks ago, the Amsterdammers cruised to a 0-4 win at Telstar on Sunday. Davy Klaassen, Steven Berghuis, Tolu and Marcos Leonardo all found the net.
Sofyan Amrabat has been in contact with Jordi Cruijff since April. The newly signed Ajax player reveals that his relationship with the club’s technical director clicked immediately. "He told me about Ajax’s plans. It was a great story. We stayed in touch throughout the entire period."
