Ajax put up a convincing home win over Fortuna Sittard on Sunday. John Heitinga's team beat the Limburg team in the Johan Cruijff ArenA by 4-0, in part through the outstanding work of Steven Berghuis. The left-footed player scored the first two goals for Ajax.
Ajax has managed to end a home match in the Johan Cruyff ArenA with a victory, after two matches in de Eredivisie that ended without a win. John Heitinga’s team beat Fortuna Sittard 4-0. Steven Berghuis (2), Steven Berghuis and Kenneth Taylor were responsible for the goals made by the Amsterdam-based team.
Ajax trained on Saturday morning in preparation for the home match against Fortuna Sittard at the Johan Cruijff ArenA. The normal training facility at the Toekomst is this weekend entirely dedicated to the Future Cup, the international youth tournament for U17 players, so Ajax 1 decamped to the stadium.
The Cruyff Legacy 14K run was up next on the program on Sunday. During the Johan Cruyff Foundation’s yearly running event, the runners worked up a sweat. Ajax host Aviv ran the 5K together with former Ajax player Frank Rijkaard, and spoke to multiple participants during the sunny afternoon which was all about our legendary number 14.
