Ajax will face Shelbourne FC in the third preliminary round of the UEFA Conference League. The fixture was confirmed on Thursday evening after Ajax overcame FK Vojvodina over two legs. The matches against the Irish side will be played on August 6 and 13, 2026, with Ajax hosting the first leg.

Shelbourne FC secured victory over Estonian side Nõmme Kalju FC in the second preliminary round of the UEFA Conference League. The Dublin-based club will now prepare for a third preliminary round tie against Ajax.

The home match on Thursday, August 6, kicks off at 20:00, while the return leg in Dublin will be played at the same time on Thursday, August 13.

If the Amsterdam side come out on top over the two-legged tie against Shelbourne FC, Ajax will progress to the UEFA Conference League play-offs. The play-off matches, if required, will be played on Thursday, August 20, and Thursday, August 27.
