Ajax Doc | Lloyd Doesburg

Wednesday, June 7, 1989, is a horrible day in Dutch football history. On that day, a plane from the Surinamese airline crashed near Paramaribo. Among those on board were members of the "Kleurrijk Elftal" (Colourful Eleven), footballers of Surinamese descent playing in Dutch professional football. One of them was Ajax goalkeeper Lloyd Doesburg. In this documentary, we reflect on that tragic day with former teammates and family members, painting a portrait of both the person and the footballer, Doesburg.
