Ajax and VodafoneZiggo have extended their long-standing partnership. The telecom company has been Ajax's shirt and main sponsor since 2015 and has signed on for at least two more seasons. The current contract runs until the end of the coming season; the new agreement extends until mid-2027, with an option to extend until mid-2029. The collaboration will place greater emphasis on social initiatives.

Ajax and VodafoneZiggo will continue to offer exclusive content online and on Ziggo Sport. Special live experiences and promotions through Priority, the Vodafone and Ziggo customer program, will also remain part of the partnership. Ajax and VodafoneZiggo will collaborate more intensively to make a positive social impact. This includes exchanging knowledge and expertise in social areas and strengthening each other's projects. More joint projects will also be developed, and the Silence Social Hate campaign will be continued.

Menno Geelen, interim CEO of Ajax: "We are grateful to VodafoneZiggo for their trust in the future of Ajax. We have been partners for almost ten years, and thanks to this unconditional support, we can work towards a better future for our club, the results we want to achieve, and the impact we want to make both on and off the field. 'A better future for everyone' is a goal of VodafoneZiggo, and we are happy to contribute to it in the coming years."

Robin Kroes, director of Consumer Market at VodafoneZiggo: "In good times, but also in less good times. That is the essence of a true partnership. Ajax has taken significant steps in recent months, and we look forward to the coming season and beyond. Football has a unique ability to connect people, lower barriers, and evoke emotions. It is pure entertainment, but the unifying power of football can also be used for important social issues. Both aspects are important to us, and we will continue to develop them together in the coming years."

Ajax takes a stand against social hate

Every month, players of Ajax Men’s and Women’s teams receive over 1,500 hate messages on social media. But sadly it’s not just our players. These types of messages are part of a growing trend that impact millions of people online. In an effort to silence social hate, Ajax will wear a jersey with three white dots instead of names during their matches this weekend. The dots represent the universal sign for silence, as well as the menu icon you select to report hate messages and associated accounts.
