Ajax and FC Twente reach agreement on Youri Regeer

Ajax has reached an agreement with Youri Regeer and FC Twente on the direct transfer of the 19-year-old player. The contract of the right wing-back, who can be placed in different positions in the midfield, ran until June 30, 2025.

Regeer (Haarlem, August 18, 2003) played in Ajax’s youth academy since 2017. He transferred from ADO Den Haag’s youth six years ago. On December 15, 2021, he made his debut for Ajax 1 in the Dutch Cup match Ajax – BVV Barendrecht: 4-0. He made eight appearances for the first team and scored one goal. Furthermore, Regeer was one of the Ajax U23’s captains this season.

He made his debut on February 21, 2020, in the match Helmond Sport – Ajax U23: 0-2. Since then, the right-footed played 91 matches for Ajax U23 and scored six goals in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie.
