The press & communications department is the link between the Ajax organisation and the press and is the first point of contact for all media parties. Among other things, the department handles accreditation requests for the home matches of Ajax 1, Ajax Women and Jong Ajax, and interview requests for players, trainers, management and directors of the club.
Accreditation
To attend a home match of Ajax 1, Ajax Women or Jong Ajax, a media representative must have match accreditation. Accreditation requests for Eredivisie and KNVB Cup matches can be submitted via the NSP or via the match accreditation form. The deadline for accreditation is two working days before a match.
For European matches, accreditation can be obtained via the club. We must receive your accreditation request no later than one week before the match day via the match accreditation form.
Only sports journalists/photographers with an (international) sports press card (NSP or AIPS) can be accredited for the above competitions.
Interview requests
Interview requests should be submitted to the press & communications department. As with the provision for match accreditation, Ajax uses the NSP and AIPS cards as guidelines for agreeing to an interview request. Interview requests can be submitted using the interview request form.
Press conference
After the match, the head coach speaks to the television rights holders. This is a contractual obligation. A press conference will take place in the press room as soon as possible afterwards and no later than half an hour after the end of the match. During this press conference, both the coach and a player are available to the media.
Photographers
During the match, Ajax offers photographers the opportunity to move behind the goals. When collecting the admission ticket at the media desk, all photographers will be issued with a vest. Photographers are required to wear this vest during the match and leave it in the photographers' area after the match.
Image database
Our photographers capture everything that happens around the club. Media relations can view these photos on the Ajax image database.
Photos can be requested via the form below. The photos will then be sent to you (on working days only) as soon as possible.
The price per photo downloaded or sent (regardless of whether it is eventually used for publication) is EUR 30 (excl. VAT).
