Ajax and Youri Regeer have reached an agreement for a new contract. The new contract of the 18-year-old player, who can play in several positions, will take effect on July 1, 2022 and will run until June 30, 2025. Regeer's current contract runs until mid-2022.

Regeer (Haarlem, August 18, 2003) has played in Ajax's youth academy since 2017, having joined from ADO Den Haag’s youth academy. On December 15, 2021, he made his debut in the first team during the TOTO KNVB Cup match between Ajax – BVV Barendrecht: 4-0. The youth international has so far played twice for the first team and has scored once.

Regeer is also one of the captains of Jong Ajax. He made his debut on Feebruary 21, 2020 during the  match between Helmond Sport – Ajax Reserves: 0-2. Since then, he has made 60 appearances for the reserves, scoring five times.

Ajax and Kristian Hlynsson have reached an agreement for the extension of his contract. The 18-year-old attacking midfielder's new contract will take effect on February 1 and run until June 30, 2026. Hlynsson's prior contract ran until mid-2023.

Update on Brian Brobbey injury

Brian Brobbey is unavailable for Erik ten Hag for the time being. The striker was subbed off in the first half of the match against PSV on Sunday. Closer examination at the hospital on Monday revealed an injury to his knee. Brobbey will in any case not be available for the coming weeks.
