Youri Baas extends contract

Ajax and Youri Baas have reached an agreement on a new contract. The 21-year-old defender's new deal will run until 30 June, 2028. The previous contract of the Dutch U21 international was set to expire in mid-2026.

Baas (born in Oostvoorne, 17 March 2003) has been part of Ajax since 2018. The left-footed player made his first-team debut on 28 August 2022 during the Eredivisie match FC Utrecht – Ajax (0-2) and spent last season on loan at NEC. So far, he has featured in 34 official matches for Ajax's first team, scoring once.
