Ajax won 0-1 away at RKC Waalwijk in the Eredivisie. Sébastien Haller scored the only goal of the game after fifteen minutes. Thanks to the victory, the gap in the Eredivisie between Ajax and PSV has risen to eleven points.

Ajax had the upper hand throughout the match, but during the second half, they started slackening off and gave the opposing team chances to equalise, creating sustained tension. They eventually came off lucky as a free kick from the home side saw the ball bouncing off the goalpost.
