John van 't Schip seemed satisfied when he spoke to the press on Sunday after the 4-1 victory. Although the trainer did have some criticism. "Heerenveen made it very difficult for us. The spring in the step was missing compared to Thursday, and the substitutions were important for us today."

"In the first half, we didn't get it under control. The distances became larger and the defence got stuck," Van 't Schip found. "In the second half, we closed up a bit more aggressively, which automatically made things go better. The match had its ups and downs, but I think we ultimately deserved the win."

Van ’t Schip had a lot of praise for defender Josip Šutalo. "He had a very solid game today," said the Amsterdam coach. "He played with a lot of confidence, and that gives him a boost. Individually, he did well one-on-one and on the ball."

After the good start under Van ’t Schip, the coach hopes to continue this trajectory. "We need to take it match by match, but ultimately the target is to end up as high as possible. Hopefully the top four leave some points on the table, and we take a lot of points. We hope to rise in the ranking step by step."
