Van 't Schip can count on Steven Berghuis Thursday evening in Bodø. The 32-year-old Ajax player was missing from the squad that faced NEC last Sunday, but 'just' managed to travel to Norway on Wednesday. "Steven is a crucial player for us. He has been training well in recent days and is now back. That's great for us, because Steven has been a major part of the team's attack formation over recent months", said the manager.
It's most likely all the other the players who travelled with us can also play on Thursday. Van 't Schip stressed that there is another training session on Wednesday evening. "It's been an intense week. A number of players needed a little more time to get ready. We'll see today (Wednesday, ed.) if anyone still has problems, but we assume everyone can play tomorrow (Thursday, ed.)."
Van 't Schip says his team will have to work hard in Norway on Thursday to manage a positive result. "Bodø/Glimt has managed some good results in recent years. The club is building well, on solid foundations. They played well in Amsterdam, just like they did previously against other opponents. We know it's going to be a challenge and we have to be at our best. Tomorrow's game will be an important one."
