After eliminating FK Vojvodina, Shelbourne FC and FC Sion, Ajax are one of the 36 clubs that will compete in the Conference League League Phase. The format is identical to that used in UEFA's other European competitions, with the only difference being the number of matches. As a result, Ajax will play six matches rather than eight during the league phase: three at home and three away.
The 36 teams are divided into six pots of six clubs. Ajax are placed in Pot 1 and will face one opponent from each pot. A computer will then determine which matches Ajax will play at home and which they will play away. Clubs from the same country cannot be drawn against one another.

- Pot 3: Lugano, Getafe, Kups, FC Twente, FK Borac, Banja Luka, Sint-Truiden
- Pot 4: Lincoln Red Imps, Brann, Hearts, Kairat Almaty, Trabzonspor, Universitatea Craiova
- Pot 5: RFC, Hajduk Split, Jablonec, AGF, FC Nordsjælland, Inter D'Escaldes
- Pot 6: FC Thun, CSKA Sofia, Kauno Žalgiris, Mjällby, Iberia 1999, Egnatia
The league phase matches will be played on October 15, October 22, November 5, November 26, December 10 and December 17, 2026. The top eight teams in the final standings will qualify automatically for the round of 16. Teams finishing between ninth and 24th place will compete in the knockout phase play-offs, with the teams ranked ninth to 16th facing those ranked 17th to 24th for a place in the last 16.
