After Dusan Tadic’s missed penalty the Italians quickly equalised. Ten Hag was upset by the 1-1 score in the second half. "We had the game under control. We created some great chances. It's pretty unfortunate that they scored the equaliser in that way. We’ll just have to accept it and move on."

Nevertheless, the coach thinks that things will pass off better next week when Ajax travels to Italy. The manager believes in a 'remontada' next week at the away game in Rome. "We have shown that we can act at least at the same level as this opponent. Although we're now going to Rome starting from an unfavourable position, we know that it’s not over yet. We can still turn things around."
