Ten Hag: 'It was a tricky game'

Trainer Erik ten Hag was fairly happy following Ajax's 2-0 victory over PEC Zwolle. 'It was tricky. We were too all over the place. The team gave away the ball too many times, unnecessarily, putting our opponents on the counter-attack.'

Yet Ajax had a relatively easy 2-0 win, thanks to two goals from Sébastien Haller. “He always scores. His stats are phenomenal.”

Ajax were missing Maarten Stekelenburg and Davy Klaassen, amongst others, for their match against PEC Zwolle. Ten Hag does not yet know whether they can both be back for the match against Sporting Lisbon on Wednesday. "It will be a race against the clock."
