Ajax's Player of the Year, Kenneth Taylor, missed just two official matches this season: the home fixture against Heracles and the away game at Real Sociedad. The midfielder featured in 33 Eredivisie matches, seventeen European ties, and two Dutch Cup fixtures. On the European stage, Taylor found the net five times.

In the Eredivisie, Taylor started 29 of the 33 matches. His most frequent teammate in the starting XI was Jorrel Hato, with the duo lining up together 27 times. Josip Šutalo (24), and Davy Klaassen (21) complete the top of that list.

Goals
In those 33 league appearances, Taylor was directly involved in 15 goals: nine goals and six assists. That’s five more than last season (5 goals, 5 assists).

He scored nine times from 47 shots, giving him a shot conversion rate of 19,2 percent — a notable improvement in his end product this season.

There were six goal-assist combinations (each contributing two goals) that occurred most frequently in the Eredivisie this season. Kenneth Taylor featured in three of them.

  • Taylor & Bertrand Traoré: one goal, one assist
  • Taylor & Jordan Henderson: two goals scored by Taylor
  • Taylor & Wout Weghorst: two assists from Taylor

Passing and Fitness
Taylor completed 1,111 passes in the Eredivisie, of which 922 were successful – a passing accuracy of 83 percent. His forward passing accuracy stood at 63.4 percent: 204 of his 322 forward passes found a teammate.

In the Eredivisie, Taylor covered nearly twelve kilometres per match – an average of 11,151 metres. Zooming in further on his running stats, the Ajax midfielder averaged 801 metres per match at high speed (above 20 km/h). His sprinting distance (above 25 km/h) averaged 171 metres per match.

By being named Player of the Year, Taylor follows in the footsteps of his teammate Brian Brobbey, who received the award from the Ajax Supporters Association last season.
