Taglafico was born on August 31, 1992 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The left-footed defender joined Ajax in January 2018 from the Argentinian club Independiente. He made his debut in Amsterdam on January 21, 2017 in Ajax - Feyenoord (2-0) and has played 111 official matches for the club, scoring twelve goals.
In his first full season at Ajax, Tagliafico was part of the double winning side that took home the KNVB Beker as well as the league title. In 2019, he won the Johan Cruyff Shield with the club.
