Mislintat (Dortmund, November 5, 1972) worked as Head of Scouting and Head of Professional Football at Borussia Dortmund from 2006 to 2017. He then joined Arsenal in England as Head of Recruitment. In 2019, he returned to the Bundesliga, where he started working as Sporting Director at VFB Stuttgart. In November of last year, Mislintat did not renew his contract after he had indicated that he was looking for a new challenge.
Since the departure of Marc Overmars in February 2022, the vacant position of Director of Football at Ajax was filled by the technical managers Gerry Hamstra and Klaas Jan Huntelaar. Huntelaar will remain a technical manager and will report to Mislintat.

Supervisory Board nominate Van Halst
Ajax’s Supervisory Board (SB) nominate Jan van Halst as a new member of the board. This is a nomination for a term lasting three and a half years, until the Annual General Meeting (AGM) in November 2026. The nomination has the support of the Works Council of AFC Ajax NV and the Ajax Association as major shareholder.
