Susan Lenderink: "After five and a half years, I have decided to step down from Ajax. One of my key tasks upon my appointment was to further professionalize the organization. Over the past years, we have made tremendous progress in strategic planning, process professionalization, further digitalization, and the desired cultural change. The foundation has been strengthened and is now future-proof. I look back on an intense but above all rewarding period and I am proud of our collective achievements both on and off the field. It has been a privilege to be part of the most beautiful club in the Netherlands."

Michael van Praag, Chairman of the Supervisory Board: "It is unfortunate that Susan is leaving Ajax. She has done fantastic work here. We tried to persuade her to reconsider. Of course, we respect her decision and can conclude that she has meant a great deal to Ajax over the past five and a half years. In addition to her financial duties, she has significantly contributed to the professionalization of the organization. From day one, she has strengthened the management team, demonstrated leadership, and taken responsibility for the organization. It is now up to us to find a suitable successor as quickly as possible while Susan remains fully committed to the club. We are pleased that Susan is also willing to help train her successor."
