Ajax travel to Azerbaijan with 24 players for European away match

Wout Weghorst, Jordan Henderson, Bertrand Traoré, and Kian Fitz-Jim return to the European squad of Francesco Farioli. On Tuesday afternoon, 24 Ajax players will travel to Azerbaijan. Ajax will face Qarabağ FK on Thursday evening at 18:45 in the UEFA Europa League.

Davy Klaassen will not be travelling with the squad this time. The midfielder is ineligible to play and will therefore remain in The Netherlands. Youri Baas is also absent from the squad due to his suspension.

Qarabağ FK, the current leaders of the Azerbaijani league, have yet to secure any points in the Europa League. They suffered defeats in their matches against Malmö FF and Tottenham Hotspur.
