Ajax won 3-1 at home against FC Groningen on Sunday afternoon. In doing so, Erik ten Hag's team maintained their long undefeated streak, and promptly took revenge for their defeat in the away game earlier in the season. Ajax saw goals from Ryan Gravenberch and Sébastien Haller, and a penalty from Dusan Tadic.

Ten Hag said afterwards that FC Groningen gave his team a good run for their money at the Johan Cruijff ArenA. Still, he was happy with the standard played. "The game was certainly intense, but it could also have been decided in just half an hour. FC Groningen kept up the fight and believed they could win. Until we made it 2-0, the match could have gone either way. But all in all I think it was a deserved victory."
