At that stage, Ajax appeared to be cruising. However, the visitors made life difficult for themselves by conceding a penalty early in the second half. Following a defensive mix-up, Femke Liefting was forced to come a long way off her line and brought down Fleur Stoit. Victoria DellaPruta converted the resulting spot-kick.
For a brief spell, Feyenoord gained momentum from the goal and managed to put Ajax under pressure. Liefting produced an excellent save in a one-on-one situation, while at the other end Xanne Kip should have made it 1-3 when through on goal against Claire Dinkla.
Fine header
Ajax's third goal eventually arrived from another free kick. This time, Amber Visscher found Te Brake and, after providing the assist for the opening goal, the 23-year-old Ajax player got on the scoresheet herself with a fine header: 1-3.
Deep into stoppage time, Feyenoord looked out of energy and Ajax created several chances to make it 1-4. Shortly before the final whistle, Snoeijs added the fourth goal to put the result beyond doubt and complete a convincing 1-4 victory. The international break begins for Ajax Women on Monday.
