Ajax have started the crucial month of January with a draw. In a high stakes game against PSV Ajax were 0-2 behind in the early stages, but Ajax showed good form and eventually earned a point with a 2-2 draw, with goals coming from Quincy Promes and Antony. The draw means Ajax retain their position at the top of the Eredivisie with one point over PSV.

New signing Sébastien Haller made his way onto the pitch after the break, marking his debut in an Ajax shirt. After months of injuries, Mohammed Kudus made his comeback in the second half.

Haller came straight on at the start of the half and immediately scored a goal. It was disallowed however as he was only just offside. 'I felt it was offside, yes.'

He then saw how Ajax got a chance to win the game after trailing 0-2. 'We have to learn from today. This was an intense match.'
