A record number of tickets have been sold for the UEFA Women’s Champions League quarter-final between Ajax Women and Chelsea. The current number is 34.200. Never before have so many people been interested in attending a women’s match.

For last season's match between Ajax and Feyenoord, 33.700 tickets were sold. The record in the Netherlands was held by the UEFA Women's Champions League final at the Philips Stadion. The match between FC Barcelona and VfL Wolfsburg sold 34.120 tickets in May.

The match between the Ajax Women and Chelsea will be played in the Johan Cruijff ArenA on Tuesday evening, March 19, starting at 18:45. The Ajax Women made it to the quarter-final by ending in second place of the poule with Paris Saint-Germain, AS Roma, and Bayern München.
