Patrick Kluivert is the Ajacied who came through the club’s entire youth academy, the Ajacied who scored on his debut, and the Ajacied behind the famous toe-poke goal against AC Milan on May 24, 1995. Born in Amsterdam, Kluivert scored goals wherever he played. In his debut season in the Dutch Eredivisie, the young Kluivert immediately made his mark with eighteen goals in 25 matches. During that same campaign, he also found the net twice in ten UEFA Champions League appearances, including the only goal of the final against AC Milan. In total, Kluivert scored 52 goals for Ajax.
Daley Blind, Patrick Kluivert, Simon Tahamata, and Frank Rijkaard saw their busts unveiled in the supporters' home for the first time last Sunday. The latter was unfortunately unable to attend, but Louis van Gaal thanked the supporters on his behalf. "Ajax holds a special place in my heart."
During a conversation with Ajax's technical director Jordi Cruijff, Caio Henrique was immediately enthusiastic. The Brazilian left-back signed a contract until mid-2030.
