Pasveer looks back on the week with pride, but you won’t see him gloating about it any time soon. "Very content,'' the Dutchman describes his mood. "We had great matches and achieved fantastic results."
'A solid 7.5'
When asked to rate the last games out of ten, he gives them 'a solid 7.5'. "That's fine, more than enough," Pasveer says with a grin. Explaining more seriously, he continued, "I always remain modest, I'm not the person to easily give myself a pat on the back. I certainly had a good week, but that goes for the whole team and the whole club."
Impressive start
The veteran keeper has now played eleven matches for Ajax. He was slotted into the team due to an injury for Maarten Stekelenburg, who will be out for some time. Brilliant performances in the important matches against Dortmund and PSV are absolute highlights for Pasveer in his career as an Ajax player. ''Those are beautiful moments for me personally,'' the goalkeeper explains about the chances he's had to feature in goal.
Most notable is the fact that Pasveer has only conceded two goals in the last ten matches. ''I think the whole team is doing well. Either we already win the ball in midfield, so that the opponent never reaches our defense or myself. Or, like last week, I can be there for the boys. That just feels really good.''
