Starting with this edition, Olympia is the main sponsor of the prestigious tournament. As the main sponsor of the Ajax youth academy, they are now also the proud title sponsor of the Future Cup. Compared to previous editions, the Olympia Future Cup will last two days this year: Saturday and Sunday. Ticket sales started on Monday.
The participating teams in the thirteenth edition are: Ajax, Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain, Athletic Club, Anderlecht, and partner club Gamba Osaka.
Furthermore, the rules introduced last year remain unchanged. This means the tournament will feature effective playing time, the self-pass, time penalties, kick-ins/dribble-ins, and rolling substitutions. Additionally, a new rule requires goalkeepers to hold the ball for a maximum of eight seconds. The VAR system will also be used on the main field again.
