Vice-Chair Dirk Anbeek: ''It was important for the Supervisory Board to form a strong new team for the future. We are convinced that we have succeeded well in this with the people who are now being nominated. There is a broad and new setup, in which all required competencies are more than adequately safeguarded, and the connection with Amsterdam and affinity with Ajax are also strongly present. When you look at the careers of the five intended new members, you see that they bring diverse, relevant knowledge and a great deal of experience that is important for Ajax’s Supervisory Board. Our goal with this composition is to take steps towards new sporting successes with sound business operations and an efficient consultation structure. I thank Sirik Goeman and Danny Blind for the good work they have done for the Supervisory Board; with Danny, we bid a governance farewell to a club icon. I look forward to working with the colleagues who are yet to be appointed.''
