Nick Verschuren joins FC Volendam on loan

Ajax and FC Volendam have reached an agreement on the loan of Nick Verschuren. The 20-year-old defender will spend this season on loan with the Eredivisie club, until the summer of 2026. In Amsterdam, he has a contract running until June 30, 2028.

Verschuren (Amsterdam, January 13, 2005) recently extended his contract by two seasons. The Amsterdam-born player has been with Ajax since 2014 and made his professional debut on October 20, 2023, for Ajax U23 in the match against FC Dordrecht. To date, Verschuren has played 49 matches in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie.

Director of Football Marijn Beuker: "After two and a half years with Ajax U23, Nick was able to show himself with the first team during this season’s preparations. We believe it will be good for Nick to gain experience in the Eredivisie so that he can return even stronger in the future. We wish him success and will continue to follow his progress closely."
