Ünüvar was born on June 13, 2003, in Zaandam. The player followed Ajax’s youth academy since 2011 and debuted for the first team on January 22, 2020, during the Dutch Cup match Ajax - SV Spakenburg: 7-0. In that match, he managed to score immediately. Ünüvar has played three matches for the first team so far. During the last two seasons, the right-footed player went on loan spells to the Turkish Trabzonspor and FC Twente.

Ajax signs Wout Weghorst
Ajax, Burnley FC, and Wout Weghorst have reached an agreement on the striker’s direct transfer to Ajax. The 32-year-old international signed a contract effective immediately that will run until June 30, 2026.
