Ajax and Mika Godts have reached an agreement on the extension of his contract. The new contract of the 18-year-old player, who can play on multiple positions, starts on July 1, 2023 and runs until June 30, 2027. His former contract ran until 2025.
Godts was born on June 7, 2005 in Tienen and transferred from KRC Genk, where he played for KRC Genk U23, in January of this year. The Belgian youth international player made his debut for Ajax on April 9, 2023 in the match Ajax - Fortuna Sittard (4-0). The right-footed player made four appearances for Ajax 1 so far.
Godts also played eleven matches for Ajax U23 last season, in which he made three goals.
Ajax have reached an agreement with Mika Godts and KRC Genk about the transfer of the 17-year-old utility player to Amsterdam. He signed a contract that will run until June 30, 2025, effective immediately. The transfer of Godts is subject to a number of formalities.
