Marcos Leonardo completes first training session in Amsterdam

New signing Marcos Leonardo has taken his first steps on the training pitch in Amsterdam. The Brazilian forward joined the group for the first time on Tuesday. Watch the footage here

Leonardo completed his move from Al-Ahli to Ajax on Friday. The striker signed a five-year contract in Amsterdam and said he was delighted with the move. "This was the moment to join Ajax," he said in his first interview.

Míchel Sánchez's squad trained at the club's De Toekomst training ground on Tuesday morning. Following the 1-0 friendly win over Olympiacos, attention now turns to the first official match of the season in Serbia on Thursday. Ajax will face FK Vojvodina away at 20:00 in the first leg of their second qualifying-round tie in the UEFA Conference League. The return leg will be played in Amsterdam on Thursday 30 July.
