Keukelaar (September 25, 2005, Vleuten) has played for Ajax since 2021 and made the step up to the first team from the Talent Team after two years. The three-time international made a total of 55 appearances in the Ajax shirt, winning the Dutch Cup with the club in 2024.

Alex Kroes: "This is a fantastic opportunity for both Lotte and the club. Lotte has developed excellently over the past few years, and this top transfer to Real Madrid is a reward for her hard work. The path she has taken, from the Ajax Talent Team to an exciting next step in her career, is an inspiration to our current talents. The fact that she is now moving to a top competition for a record fee in Dutch women's football speaks not only for her qualities, but also for the growth of Ajax Women."
