The drama came in the closing minutes. From a corner-kick, Joël Matip climbed highest to head home. As a result, Ajax's seven match unbeaten run has ended.
Ajax won for the sixth time in a row in the Eredivisie on Saturday evening. Alfred Schreuder's team was too strong for sc Heerenveen 5-0. Dusan Tadic (three assists) and Mohammed Kudus (two goals) were the stars of the evening in the Johan Cruijff ArenA.
