Ajax and Willem II have reached an agreement on the transfer of Lasse Abildgaard to the Tilburg-based club. The Danish attacking midfielder was under contract with Ajax until June 30, 2026.

Abildgaard (February 27, 2007, Voel, Denmark) played in the youth academies of Silkeborg IF and FC Midtjylland before moving to Ajax in the summer of 2023. In Amsterdam, he mainly featured for the U17 and U19 sides. The Danish youth international made a total of five appearances in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie for Ajax U23, scoring once.

Marijn Beuker: "Lasse has come through several youth teams at Ajax, but unfortunately he has not yet been able to take the next step in his development towards professional football with us. Hopefully Lasse will be able to make that step at Willem II. We wish him every success."
