The Japanese defender was officially presented as a new signing last Friday and was already present at the Johan Cruijff ArenA on Sunday, where he witnessed the first victory of the season: Ajax beat Telstar 2-0.

During training, Itakura started with the usual warm-up, which included a game element. This was followed by positional play and a practice match. The newcomer trained fully with the squad and had a brief chat with head coach John Heitinga afterwards.

This Sunday, Ajax will travel to Deventer for the away match against Go Ahead Eagles. The match will kick off at 12:15h.
