Ajax has reached an agreement with S.S. Lazio and Josip Šutalo regarding the loan of the defender to the Italian club. The loan deal will run until June 30, 2027. The agreement includes an option to buy for the Rome-based club. Šutalo's contract with Ajax currently runs until June 30, 2028.
Šutalo (Čapljina, Bosnia and Herzegovina, February 28, 2000) joined Ajax from Dinamo Zagreb in the summer of 2023. He made his first-team debut on September 3, 2023, in the Eredivisie match against Fortuna Sittard.
To date, the Croatia international has made 108 appearances for Ajax's first team.
