Jorge Sánchez joins FC Porto on loan

Ajax, Jorge Sánchez and FC Porto have reached an agreement on the loan of the player to the Portuguese club. The loan is effective immediately and runs until June 30, 2024. The loan includes an option to purchase for FC Porto. The contract of the 25-year-old defender at Ajax runs until June 30, 2026.

Sánchez was born on December 10, 1997 in Torreón and has been playing at Ajax since the summer of 2022, when he transferred from Club América. The right-footed player made his debut for Ajax 1 on August 28, 2022, during the away match against FC Utrecht (0-2). So far, the Mexican international played 26 matches for Ajax and scored three goals.
