Jan Faberski, born on April 22, 2006 in Płock, Poland, joined Ajax’s youth academy in 2022 from Jagiellonia Białystok. The Polish youth international made his professional debut on August 12, 2024 in the league fixture between Ajax U23 and PSV U23. To date, Faberski has played 35 league matches for Ajax U23, scoring four goals. This summer, the nineteen-year-old winger extended his contract in Amsterdam until mid-2030.
Tristan Gooijer, born on September 2, 2004 in Blaricum, moved from Almere City's youth set-up to that of Ajax in 2016. He made his first-team debut on December 14, 2023 in the UEFA Europa League match Ajax – AEK Athens. In total, the right-footed defender has made thirteen appearances for Ajax’s senior side. Under contract with Ajax until June 30, 2026, Gooijer also played on loan for the Zwolle team last season.
Marijn Beuker: "Jan and Tristan are two very talented players who are developing well. For Jan, the time has come to gain plenty of minutes at the highest level, and now he can show what he’s capable of. For Tristan, that was already the plan last year, but unfortunately, a very unfortunate and serious injury early in the season put an end to it. We have wished them the best of luck, will of course keep a close eye on them, and hope they will eventually return to Ajax stronger than before."
