International break: Ajax players prepare for second block

During the international break, the players not involved with their national teams took part in a training session at De Toekomst. Under glorious autumn sunshine, Míchel Sánchez put the squad through an intensive workout.

Among those on the training pitch were Aaron Bouwman, Simon Adingra and Yves Bissouma. The first two were unavailable for Ajax’s most recent match before the international break against Excelsior due to injury. Bissouma, meanwhile, was not yet eligible to play in that fixture against the Rotterdam side, but he is now available for selection.

On Tuesday evening, Youri Baas had his photo added to the wall in the players' tunnel joining the ranks of players who have played at least 100 matches for Ajax. His journey began away to FC Utrecht. Against Willem II, Baas made his 100th appearance in an Ajax shirt at the Johan Cruijff ArenA.
