Ajax spent Friday afternoon at the De Toekomst training ground getting ready for their second cup match of the week. The Ajax squad travelled to Waalwijk on Wednesday, to play out the rest of the abandoned match against RKC. The Amsterdam team got through the remaining ten minutes in Waalwijk without too much pain or effort. The 3-2 scoreline, which stood on the board back in September after 84 minutes, remained unchanged.
The Ajax players were looking good out on the training pitch. With a thorough warm-up, some ball-passing drills and kicking practice, and various set pieces, the squad put the finishing touches to their preparations for the home match against Sparta, currently number seven in the Eredivisie.
