Ajax will travel to Leeuwarden as the leaders in the Eredivisie on Friday for their match with Cambuur. Earlier this season, Erik ten Hag's team won 9-0 in the Johan Cruijff ArenA. On Thursday afternoon, training was held at sports complex De Toekomst in the run-up to the game in the 26th round of the Eredivisie.

Ajax signs Przemyslaw Tyton

Ajax has agreed a deal with Przemyslaw Tyton. The goalkeeper signs a contract with immediate affect that will run until the end of the season, June 30, 2022. The 35-year-old player was a free agent and will start training with the first team from next week onwards. Because of the injuries of Maarten Stekelenburg, Remko Pasveer and Jay Gorter, Ajax was looking for an extra goalkeeper.

Halfway through it seemed to be a carefree afternoon, but in the end Ajax still ran into problems against RKC. Due to a late goal by Dusan Tadic, the Ajax players were still able to secure their nineteenth league win of the season (3-2) and they remain the leaders in the Eredivisie.
