The first part of the first team reported for physical tests in Amsterdam two weeks ago. Now that the most international players have returned from their break, the team is almost complete and Maurice Steijn is left with a big group of players.
The returning players saw each other for the first time after a short break. After greeting each other, it was time to take several tests in the gym where the Ajax players worked up a sweat. The first team will go on a training camp at the adidas World of Sports campus in Germany from Monday, July 24 till Saturday, July, 29.
Edson Álvarez and Jorge Sánchez were both not present yet due to their international duties with the Mexican team. Those Ajax players will play against Jamaica in the semi-final of the CONCACAF Gold Cup in the night from Wednesday to Thursday. Dusan Tadic and Francisco Conceição also join later.
