The away match against FC Emmen is the last game before the start of the winter break and the start of the World Cup on 20 November 2022. After the winter break, Ajax will still be battling on three fronts: Eredivisie, KNVB Cup and UEFA Europa League. The Dutch league resumes first with an away match against NEC on Sunday 8 January 2023.
National coach Van Gaal takes seven Ajax players to World Cup
Louis van Gaal on Friday afternoon announced the Dutch national team's selection for the World Cup in Qatar. That includes seven Ajax players: Daley Blind, Jurriën Timber, Steven Berghuis, Davy Klaassen, Steven Bergwijn, Remko Pasveer and Kenneth Taylor.
