Ajax and FC Twente have met each other twice this season. The first one was the Eredivisie match in the Johan Cruyff Arena. On January 14 of this year, both clubs failed to score. Ajax played with ten players due to a red card given to Devyne Rensch. Less than a month later, on February 9, Ajax played against FC Twente in the Dutch Cup. Mohammed Kudus was responsible for the only goal made that evening: 0-1. The Ghanaian got his team a spot in the round of sixteen.
Ajax is the only team this season that managed to win in the Grolsch Veste. A performance that the team would like to repeat on Sunday at 14:30 when all Eredivisie matches will kick off. If you were to look at the intensity shown on Wednesday in the match's run-up, you can confidently await the result.
Interesting final day
It promises to be an interesting final day, no matter what. The current number two, PSV, will visit AZ, while FC Twente – Ajax will be the stage of the battle between numbers two and five. The fact that the team from Twente is not unbeatable, has been proved by Ajax earlier this season. A repetition of the Dutch Cup victory in February is more than wished for.
