Ajax are still unbeaten in the Dutch Eredivisie after three rounds of play. Fortuna Sittard (2-3), FC Groningen (6-1) and Sparta Rotterdam (0-1) were beaten in August. The Ajax players can end the month without losing a point on Sunday afternoon.
The squad prepared for the away match with Utrecht on Saturday in glorious conditions. Following a comprehensive warm-up, Ajax players were put through some tough training drills in the run-up to the match against Utrecht.
The Amsterdam team won the last three meetings in Utrecht. Last season's Utrecht - Ajax match was the first after the winter break, with Brian Brobbey claiming the lead with two goals for Amsterdam.
