A few days after the European match against Olympique Marseille (4-3 loss), another match awaits Ajax on Sunday. John van, ’t Schip’s team, will play an away match against NEC in the Goffert stadium on Sunday at 14:30. On Saturday; the team prepared for the Eredivisie match in Nijmegen.

The Ajacied returned from France on Friday. One day later, the players trained on the training grounds of De Toekomst. Despite the low temperatures, excited and focused faces were visible during the various training activities.

Ajax will try to get rid of the bitter aftertaste of the match against Olympique Marseille and will want to continue their winning ways after the Eredivisie win against Vitesse (5-0). The finishing touches to the preparation were given to appear in the best way possible in Nijmegen.

Van 't Schip: 'There was more to it'

After losing away to Olympique Marseille in the final minutes (4-3), manager John van 't Schip was satisfied with how Ajax played, but was of course disappointed with the score. "There were quite a few other chances at goal, besides the times we scored. That applied to both Brian Brobbey and Steven Bergwijn.
