Ajax has received the news of Johan Neeskens' passing with deep sadness. With his death, Ajax has lost one of its best and most beloved former players. 'De Nees' was 73 years old.

Johan Neeskens has passed away at the age of 73. The midfielder was a crucial part of the Golden Ajax team that won the Europa Cup I three times in a row: 1971, 1972, 1973. The steadfast former Ajacied wore the Ajax shirt 171 times and scored 39 goals.
